At 1pm on June 23, the Saturday of Refugee Week, 'Welcome to Australia' are inviting the Australian community to 'Walk Together' in recognition that although we've all arrived here via different pathways we share a common Australian journey. Come and join Senator Hanson-Young in Sydney and her Greens colleagues across the nation to celebrate Australia's diversity, and welcome with compassion and dignity those that have arrived in this country.
Brisbane: 530pm Friday 8 June, the Lantern Parade Walk for Refugees, starts at the Cultural Forecourt Southbank and will end in a concert at the Suncorp Piazza Southbank. For more information or to get involved as a volunteer, please contact angies@mdabne.org.au
